BALLYHOO Ballyhoo was Infocom's 19th game (and the fourth mystery story). It was written by Jeff O'Neil. You went to watch a circus, and after the show you overheard a conversation about the owners daughter being kiddnapped. As you are made of heroic stock, you decided to stay with the circus until you find out who did it... Difficulty level: STANDARD Excerpt from SPAG # 4, from a review written by Graeme Cree: "... when Activision put out The Lost Treasures of Infocom 1, they inadvertently omitted one page of the original documentation that gave the frequency for WPDL, an all-classical AM radio station (1170 AM by the way). This information is vital twice..." COMMODORE EMULATOR NOTE: It is not recommended to play any Infocom game on CCS64, since there is no way to turn off its 1541 emulation and the games load too slow. On C64S, Vice, and PC64, though, any Infocom game will load instantly and you will notice no delay for loading new text while playing, making the gameplay much more enjoyable! ALSO REMEMBER to answer NO at the Loading-from-a-1541 question, in order to maintain high-speed emulator loading! Well, that's all! Best Regards Dimitris
